Experimenting with bronze casting, this piece is a response to my investigations into geological forces. Exploring ideas surrounding stratification and the movement of the Earth that crumples, bends, and enfolds the rock around itself in the creation of mountains and other geological formations. The molten bronze solidifies and emerges into a new sculptural form, mimicking the process within the Earth's core which causes rocks to melt and deform, a transitioning of states between fluid and solid.
